Bio
Bekah Molnar is from a small town in Central Pennsylvania and is now currently anchored in Milwaukee Wisconsin. She has a BFA in Jewelry and Metalsmithing. She creates bodies of work that deal with the marine world and the unique way of life and growth of the underwater organisms. She draws much of her inspiration from her inherent love of the ocean, which comes from her childhood being largely spent in Stone Harbor New Jersey, spending countless long hours at the beach.Using various techniques from piercing to hot and cold forging, Bekah create sculptural forms that emulate the presence of multiple species of coral. Her work focuses on how the coral communities form and how that process of growth has parallels with the processes in metalsmithing.
